NRoSO to be administered by new provider

Press Release: The Voluntary Initiative (VI) is pleased to announce the outcome of their tender process to administer the NRoSO scheme. The scheme will be administered by BASIS, from 26th January 2023.

City & Guilds, who have run the scheme since 2002, decided not to tender. They will be working closely with the VI to ensure a smooth transition for members and will continue to provide pesticide qualifications as prerequisites for the scheme. The VI would sincerely like to thank City & Guilds for running the NRoSO scheme. Their contribution has significantly improved best practice and knowledge across the UK sprayer operator base, and their input into the development and administration of the scheme is greatly appreciated.

BASIS have a proven track record of administering professional agricultural databases on behalf of membership organisations and are fully prepared to assist NRoSO members during the changeover. The process to implement the development of a new database and user interface has already begun, so NRoSO membership and registration of CPD points will continue as the service moves to its new home.
