VI meets with Scottish Agricultural Minister Jim Fairlie

VI Scotland Chair Amy Geddes welcomes Jim Fairlie MSP, Minister for Agriculture and Connectivity onto her farm in Angus to discuss IPM and Best Practice.

The farm visit consisted of a session in the barn followed by a farm walk with discussion of Integrated Pest Management (IPM), plant protection products (PPP's) and the need to protect what's left in the toolbox, biodiversity and enhancing the environment, agricultural policy and funding, genetic engineering and it's future importance to research & much more.

Even though the weather was, as might be expected dreich, the visit was all washed down with a hot cup of tea and freshly baked muffins.
