The Agricultural Engineers Association celebrates it’s 150 anniversary with a fantastic evening reception at the Palace of Westminster
The AEA (a major sponsor of the VI) hosted a fantastically well attended evening reception at the Palace of Westminster to celebrate it’s 150 anniversary.
Hosted by Sam Carling MP, constituency MP for North-west Cambridgeshire where the AEA’s office is proudly based in Peterborough, the Terrace of the Houses of Parliament was completely packed. Sam’s speech highlighted the importance of agriculture, particularly in the East Anglia and made everyone feel very welcome.
With presentations from George Freeman, MP for Mid Norfolk for 15 years and a true advocate for the Ag sector and the role that Agricultural Engineers play in that. George was followed by David Withers, with 40 years experience in the outdoor power equipment sector, David highlighted innovation within the industry that allowed turf management, particularly with regard sports pitches to advance to the next level. David was followed by AEA CEO Ruth Bailey who gave a rousing speech on the important work of Agricultural Engineers over the decades and looked forward to the next 150 year.
Congratulations to the AEA!
