Voluntary Initiative to Engage Directly at BCPC Congress 2025 in Harrogate
27 October 2025
Harrogate, UK – 4-5 November 2025 — The Voluntary Initiative (VI) is set to play an active role at the British Crop Production Council (BCPC) Congress 2025, held at the Cedar Court Hotel in Harrogate.
This flagship event brings together key stakeholders from across the agricultural, food production, and crop protection sectors to address the pressing challenges and opportunities facing UK agriculture.
The VI’s participation underscores its commitment to promoting responsible plant protection Product (PPP) use and integrated pest management (IPM) practices. With the Congress focusing on themes such as the UK’s National Action Plan for Pesticides, the Land Use Framework, and post-Brexit regulatory shifts, VI’s presence will provide a vital platform for dialogue and collaboration.
Delegates can expect direct interaction with VI representatives during sessions and networking events, where they will share insights on stewardship, sustainable farming practices, and the role of voluntary measures in shaping future policy. The Congress also offers CPD accreditation, making it a valuable opportunity for professionals seeking to enhance their knowledge and credentials.
The BCPC Congress 2025 promises two days of expert-led discussions, including contributions from Defra, Fera, the HSE Chemicals Regulation Division, and international perspectives from CropLife UK and HSBC UK. Three of the four main sessions will be lead by participating members of the VI CIC Board and their sponsoring organisations. VI’s engagement will help ensure that voluntary approaches remain central to the evolving landscape of crop production and environmental stewardship.
