With a new venue and a revised programme, the AHDB Agronomist Conference 2025, provides something for everyone.  Variety innovation (RL updates, info on new crop physiology and variety blends project), Integrated Pest Management (IPM) including and UKCPVS Update (widespread use of varieties with Yr15 lead to a breakdown of yellow rust resistance during 2024 season) and Ergot management (increased prevalence in recent years due to a number of factors) and the latest in Cabbage Stem Flea Beetle research.

Following coffee, issues regarding environmental sustainability, including the Baselining PIlot Project, revisiting soil health metrics and the latest in cover crop research.

After lunch, Henny Lowth (AHDB)talks about how AHDB works to put research into practice and the work of the HDB Strategic Farms with strategic farm managers, Will Oliver, David Jones and  David Blacker.  This session leads nicely into Crop protection  sessions, investigating both the Biofungicides performance test pilot and a round-up of fungicide performance and resistance from ADAS's Jonathan Blake and Phil Walker.
