Catchment Sensitive Farming
Catchment Sensitive Farming (CSF) is an English programme of supportive measures such as farm advice, training and capital grants targeted at priority catchments to help reduce soil erosion and nutrient and pesticide losses to water.
The VI works closely with Catchment Sensitive Farming as our aims and objectives are complimentary. Phase 5 of CSF roll-out was launched in October 2022 and two leaflets were produced, "Catchment Sensitive Farming - Is your farm fit for the Future?" to explain what CSF does and another "Catchment Sensitive Farming - Specialist Advice for Your Farm" leaflet explaining what advice and help is available on farm.

Don't forget that Capital Grant Schemes are available to fund items such as BioBeds and dedicated spray areas.
